Rock'N Fish, Manhattan Beach is the flagship property of the Zislis Group's impressive line of inspired restaurants.
We provide a fun, casual ambiance where we offer America's best regional cuisine, refreshing hand-crafted cocktails, and impressive global wines with a California focus, right in the heart of downtown Manhattan Beach.
Rock'N Fish is currently seeking a superstar Lead host/hostess with prior hosting experience in a high volume restaurant.
As the first person that our guests meet, we are looking for someone who isn't shy and can make a great first and lasting impression to ensure that their dining experience is a positive one! Are you passionate about meeting new people?Are you comfortable initiating conversations with strangers?Do you love great food, drinks and above all else, hospitality?

COMPENSATION: $20.00/hour plus great tips!
| Sick pay (after 90 days) |$200 towards medical insurance (Full-time only after 90 days) | Food and Hotel Discounts | Positive and fun culture with lots of hospitality training, too!

WHAT YOU WILL DO...
Be the warm and welcoming face of the restaurant!Practice genuine hospitality with each and every guestMonitor the floor and be aware of what tables are availableEstimate wait times for guests and ensure that their needs are met while they waitAnswer the telephone, book reservations, and arrange tables to accommodate large partiesUse Open Table software for reservations.Thorough knowledge of our food and beverage and ability to explain them to guestsContribute to team effort.

THIS JOB IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE...
Positive attitude and excellent communication and people skillsProfessional demeanor and a warm, inviting personalitySense of humor and enthusiasm for the job are imperativeExcellent phone etiquette (a must) and prior multi-line phone experience is a plusThe ability to shift gears quickly and multitask at the highest level
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 2 to 3 years of restaurant experience.Able to greet and seat customers accurately and efficiently.Make a positive impression at all times.Guest oriented with high focus on delivering quality service.Strong communication skills.Adaptability and the ability to work in a team environment.Must be able to attend to customers' needs and possess a strong desire to fulfill the requests of the customers at all times.Ability to engage in casual conversation with customers without sounding too personal.Handling pressure well along with the ability to set priorities and make decisions based on quality.Must be well dressed and well spoken.
