The host/hostess responsibility is to greet all guests who enter the restaurant with passion and enthusiasm and use excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure everyone is seated appropriately and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Guest first focus, delivering exceptional guest service is a top-priority. Teamwork, time management, multitasking, and menu knowledge Coordinates the operation of the dining room during meal service periods, adjusting seating flow in such a manner as to balance guests among the various service stations Takes all to-go orders and ensures order accuracy with guest to provide the best experience possible.
Answers telephone calls to the restaurant Takes reservations
Job Requirements:
Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 8 hours while maintaining a fun and positive attitude Ability to deal with multiple tasks effectively and establish priorities while in a fast-paced environment Able to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner Work experience in high volume or fast casual dining restaurant environment preferred
