Description Position Overview: This position works in the Retreats Department for the Housekeeping Team.
Housekeepers, under the leadership of the Housekeeping Manager, effectively maintain our facilities to ensure they are clean, orderly, and attractive.
Key Duties Clean hotel style Lodge Rooms Ensure all rooms are cleaned, cared for, and inspected according to established standards Cleaning bathrooms, including scrubbing tubs, mopping floors, wiping counters, etc.
Making beds, dusting surfaces, etc.
Sweeping, vacuuming and straightening, etc.
Complete all laundry cycles, including sorting, folding, carrying, and storing towels, sheets, comforters Clean common spaces Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing Housekeeping team takes care of cleaning and maintaining restrooms, common spaces, and exterior cleaning tasks Care for supplies and facilities of T Bar M Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies Notify supervisor of any damages, deficits, and disturbances Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices Participate in the ministry of T Bar M Able to minister to guests and fellow staff, engaging with, speaking with, and serving them lovingly and unselfishly Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience May need to perform additional duties as identified by housekeeping manager for property care Assist in contributing to and helping achieve annual ministry goals set by leadership Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed Qualifications Spiritual Growth and Alignment Consistent evidence of a growing relationship with Christ Awareness and desire to deploy his/her spiritual gift(s) in this ministry Agreement with T Bar Ms Doctrinal Statement A sense of calling to the ministry of T Bar M Whole-hearted support of T Bar Ms Vision, Core Values, and Mission Interpersonal Skills Must communicate effectively with a diverse group of guests and employees Desire to build and maintain Christ-centered relationships Must be able to resolve conflict in a peaceful, team approach Good fit for T Bar M Camps & Retreats Culture Camp ministry is a lifestyle in which we subject ourselves to accountability with one another as we work in community together Decisions and actions must consistently reflect the core values of our ministry A team player who maintains a collaborative attitude Organizational/Office Skills Effective time-management skills and creative problem-solving skills Basic computer skills and ability to learn our registration and room tracking system, CircuiTree Education/Experiences High School or equivalent Previous housekeeping experience preferred Physical Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, grasp, lift, push, pull, carry or otherwise manipulate objects Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds May require climbing ladders to clean ceilings, etc Work activities are both indoors and outdoors Work occurs throughout several different buildings on T Bar M property, so the ability to easily navigate the property, including uneven surfaces Compensation: Compensation for the role will be competitive with the market for similar roles and responsibilities.
