Primary Responsibilities:Performing routine cleaning tasks such as:
Sweeping, mopping, and dusting.Disposing of trash and maintaining sanitary conditions.Advanced Responsibilities (training provided):
Safely disposing of restricted or environmentally hazardous materials.Handling hazardous or other restricted items in accordance with safety protocols.Key Qualities for Applicants:Attention to detail in maintaining a clean and safe environment.Willingness to learn and follow specialized training for hazardous material disposal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an inpatient setting.Job Type/Salary: Full TimeHousekeeping I: $13.70/hr - $28,500/yrHousekeeping II: $14.66/hr $30,500/yr        Primary Working Hours: Vary based on the needs of the facility.FLSA Status: Non-ExemptMinimum Qualifications and Experience: Housekeeping I: No experience or education is required.Housekeeping II: Six months experience in building or institutional custodial work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Special Requirements: Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 40 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver's license.Why Join Us? The inpatient and outpatient services they provide include special groups and programs for adolescents, persons with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, seniors and older adults, women, men, and criminal justice groups.
Drug and Alcohol Pre-employment and Pre-placement Testing:  Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs. Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.
