Gold's Gym Housekeepers are vital members of the gym staff team.
They ensure that the facility is clean and meets the expectations of members.
Housekeepers will be responsible for any combination of light cleaning duties on the gym floor, locker rooms and offices.
Housekeepers work under the direction of the Gym Member Experience Manager.Housekeepers perform any combination of light cleaning duties to maintain gym and offices, in a clean and orderly manner.
They work under the direction of the Gym Operations Manager.
Some of the various duties housekeepers have include:Cleans outside glassWipes down equipment, doors and floors as necessaryEmpties trash receptacles dailySweeps and mops floors/stairwells/staircasesCleans carpets and floors as neededChanges light bulbs as necessaryCleans all fitness equipment, bathrooms (tile, tub, walls and sink), mirrors and glassDusts furniture and fixtures dailyCleans the management office dailyMops and sweeps lobby floorsCleans the locker room (sweeps, mops, trash removal, dusts, cleans out lint); buffs locker/lobby room floorMaintains and organizes mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners and other equipment/supplies in good condition in designated storage areasPicks up debris on carpet and vacuums carpetReplaces or adds required supplies in locker roomsStocks carts with linens and supplies and organizes cart as trained and requiredCleans vacuum cleaner bags or canister dailyReports maintenance problems in an accurate and timely matterAt least three (3) months experience in housekeeping or janitorial services and three (3) months customer service experience desired; experience in hospitality or health clubs is a plusHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferredMust be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingMust have excellent organization, interpersonal and time management skillsMust have proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomouslyMust be able to collaborate and work as part of a team in a professional manner
