Job summary
Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin is looking for a Security Supervisor to join our hotel leadership team!Hyatt Centric is at the center of some of the most unique destinations-in the middle of the action, in the know and always on-hand to serve up insider knowledge, intriguing tidbits and great conversation over a well-crafted cocktail.Our target guests are the Savvy Explorers. Socially connected guests seeking shareable moments to inspire others.

Responsibilities
• Creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure all hotel colleagues are well-versed in emergency procedures• Provide response in emergency situations• Administrative tasks such as scheduling and payroll• Provide coaching and counseling to colleagues• Oversee the onboarding and training of new hires• Lead the facilitation of safety training topics throughout hotel• Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service• Facilitate receiving and handling of packages• Incident and accident response and reporting• Providing basic first aid
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the Security field• Previous Full Service hotel experience is preferred• Must have previous Supervisory or Management experience• Proficient communication skills - written, verbal and email• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.• Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays• Proficient in basic computer skills• Knowledge of Dormakaba hardware and software is a plus• Level 2 Security Guard Card Preferred
