We are seeking a skilled and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support our HR department in maintaining smooth and efficient business operations. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to engage in both administrative and strategic responsibilities, playing a key part in essential HR functions such as recruitment, training and development, and compensation and benefits management.
Essential Functions & Duties Summary:Provide support in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.Coordinate new hire process for managing staff including orientation and new hire paperwork.Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and escalate to Director of Human Resources as needed.Answer employee questions and or concerns regarding Human Resource policy, procedures, or employee handbook interpretations.Assist Managers and/or Supervisors with employee inquiries, performance review process, coaching, counseling, and terminations.Assist with maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.Participate in the Wellness committee and implement ideas to improve wellness events and communication of resources to employees.Maintain broad knowledge of safety, training and development, employee relations, performance management, and organizational planning.Administer leave of absences including short-term disability, long-term disability, and FMLA.Maintain and coordinate employee recognition programs.Operate ethically to protect the assets and image of the company.Perform other duties and responsibilities as per business need.Experience, Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience in an HR role, with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices required.Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Understand the needs of timely recruitment strategies.Proficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Salary: $23.00 to $29.00 per hour depending on qualifications.
