The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for performing a variety of HR-related duties on a professional level, working closely with HR management and department leaders. This position plays a key role in managing day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, compliance, and HR policy implementation.
\n Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience (or equal combination of education and experience). General knowledge of state and federal employment laws, standards, and best practices. Comfort with HR technologies, as well as, standard office and collaboration software. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain the integrity of confidential information. Ability to adapt in a changing work environment while remaining calm in volatile situations. Ability to foster and maintain good relationships at all levels. Exceptional listening, reading, communication (written & verbal), and problem-solving skills. PHR or SPHR certification is desired, but not required. Job Responsibilities: Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and workplace practices.Handle employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.Promote a positive work environment by fostering effective employee relations.Recruitment on site for TechniciansDevelop and update job descriptions and job specifications.Compliance and Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.Maintain employee records in compliance with legal requirementsPerformance Management: Support managers in conducting performance reviews and setting goals for employees. Facilitate the performance evaluation process and provide coaching and feedback as necessary. Assist in the development of employee improvement plans.Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company offerings.Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits working with the Corporate officeAssist in the rollout of new HR initiatives and strategies that align with the company's goals.Training and Development: Coordinate employee training programs, identifying needs and tracking completion.Assist in the creation and delivery of training materials related to HR policies, compliance, and professional development.HRIS Management:Maintain and update employee data in the HR Information System (HRIS)Generate HR-related reports, including turnover rates, headcount, and other key metrics as needed.
