This is a hybrid role based in our San Francisco office and will require you to be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

This person will be responsible for the daily operations of HR systems, benefits, payroll, and compliance, ensuring that all processes are aligned with organizational goals and regulatory standards. This role requires a strong foundation in HR operations, payroll processing, and benefits administration, combined with a strategic mindset. You will collaborate closely with the Head of People and cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and provide a high level of service to our employees.
What's the job? Oversee and manage HR systems (HRIS) to ensure data accuracy, integration, and ease of use.Act as the primary contact for HRIS system maintenance, updates, troubleshooting, and support.Lead benefits administration, including open enrollment, employee inquiries, and vendor management.Manage payroll processing, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll for all employees.Coordinate with finance to oversee payroll funding, deductions, tax filings, and reconciliation processes.Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to HR administration, benefits, payroll, and employee records.Manage day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, onboarding/offboarding, and policy updates.Collaborate with finance and payroll providers to address payroll-related inquiries and ensure seamless processes.Provide data and reports to leadership on HR operations, payroll metrics, benefits utilization, and system performance.Assist in developing and updating company policies, handbooks, and procedures to reflect best practices.Identify and implement best practices in HR operations, benefits, payroll, and administration to support company growth. What We'll Love About You Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of experience in HR operations, benefits, payroll, or systems management.Expertise in HRIS systems and payroll systems, with experience in workflow and integration management.Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, with proven experience in payroll processing and reconciliation.Proven experience in benefits administration, including vendor management, compliance, and reporting.Strong understanding of HR compliance, labor laws, and best practices.Excellent organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to HR administration.Proficiency in data reporting tools (e.g., Excel, HRIS reporting) and payroll metrics.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Passionate about creating an inclusive, employee-focused workplace and supporting an engaging employee experience.
