Role:Operations Support Specialist
Location:Fairport, NY
Summary:
The HR Operations Specialist is a critical member of Operations Support team and reports to the Vice President of Human Resources. This individual will be focused on delivering excellence across our manufacturing facilities, managing multiple projects and processes in a fast-paced environment. This specialist will possess the ability to manage confidential information and function as a reliable and trusted partner to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
Employee Engagement and Retention: Supports retention activities including but not limited to employee fun and holiday events. Owns and manages recognition program globally. Conducts check-ins and exit interviews with hourly staff.
Local HR Program Support: Supports Co-op, Early Career Leadership Program, and related university relations activity, including participation in career fairs. Leads, in partnership with Centralized Talent Acquisition, direct labor recruitment including temp agency management and referral program.
Onboarding and Training Support: Delivers in-person compliance training and new hire orientation. Assist new hires with immersion into the company.
Site Communications and Coordination: Prepares flyers, messages, and slides for direct labor communication, assists non-wired employees with HR processes including pulse survey and annual self-appraisals.
Administrative Support: Supports facility with badges, timecards, file management, and other general administrative tasks. Creates reports as required.
Qualifications:
Prior administrative or project planning experience.
Maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality as work is generally of a critical or confidential nature.
Experience in Microsoft office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to take initiative and make fair and consistent decisions that align with our values.
Capability to multitask and be a flexible teammate who can easily adapt to change.
Maintains positive and respectful demeanor while working independently and in a team environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
