Summary: Vaxcyte is seeking to hire a talented individual to join our Human Resources team. The HR Operations Specialist will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations for our employees. You will be part of a team focused on ensuring an employee has a smooth onboarding experience that will involve a combination of administrative tasks, process management, and employee support responsibilities. This role contributes to the health and success of the organization by proactively collaborating with key stakeholders (HR, Finance & Accounting, IT) to execute our key initiatives.
Benefits Administration and Wellness Programs: Support benefits administration processes including systems, communications, and enrollments. Monitor benefit enrollments, terminations, changes in coverage and audit as necessary. Serve as primary support resource to employees on benefits-related matters by interpreting policies and leveraging resources. Plan and collaborate with HR team to deliver annual wellness programs including designing, scheduling, and executing on wellness offerings. HRIS/Data: Process and submit all transactions relating to an employee's lifecycle including onboarding, employee record changes, promotions, compensation processing, and offboarding through our HRIS and other integrated systems. Update and maintain internal org chart. Run HR reports as needed. Other: Responsible for assigning and tracking pre-onboarding tasks for new hires. Assist with immigration case management, including preparing and reviewing visa applications, coordinating with legal counsel and government agencies, while maintaining compliance with immigrations laws and regulations. Respond to audit requests providing documentation, reports, and information. Respond and complete verification of employment and letter requests. Monitor HR inbox, responding to questions and pulling in other team members as needed. Participate in HR initiatives contributing to process improvements, system enhancements, and other HR-related projects. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field of study, with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience. Experience in benefits administration. Proficient in HR systems and databases as well as the ability to learn new systems quickly. System Implementation experience is a plus. Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgment. Strong attention to detail with effective organization and analytical skills. Demonstrated problem solver with a systems-thinking mindset. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Pro-active and self-motivated with a customer service orientation and a commitment to delivering high quality HR services. Demonstrated flexibility and professionalism in managing conflicting priorities and anticipating needs. Strong proficiency working in Outlook, Word, and Excel. Must be able to work onsite 2 days per week or more as needed. Reports to: Senior Manager, Compensation, Systems and Analytics
Location: San Carlos, CA
Compensation: The compensation package will be competitive and includes comprehensive benefits and an equity component.
Salary Range: $94,000 – $105,000
