DirectDefense is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of our organization by providing administrative support to the Human Resources department. We are looking for an HR Administrator to assist with various HR functions, including onboarding, employee records management, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. This role is an essential part of our HR team, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations to support our employees and the organization as a whole.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Onboarding Assistance: Support the new hire onboarding process by preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating orientation sessions, and assisting with employee orientation activities.
2. Various Tax-Related Tasks: Ensuring the proper tax accounts are in place and active before employees in new states are on-boarded.
3. Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, HRIS data entry, and documentation of employee changes.
4. Benefits Administration: Assist with benefits enrollment process for both open enrollment and qualifying events, including communicating benefit options to employees, processing enrollment forms, and responding to benefits-related inquiries.
5. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including managing departmental correspondence, scheduling meetings, and maintaining welcome and anniversary gifts.
Qualifications: •1-2 years of experience in HR administration or related roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HRIS systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is a plus.

As required by Colorado law under the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, DirectDefense provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the range of starting pay for this role is $50,000 - $60,000 per year with an annual bonus.
