We are looking for the Director Human Resources to join our team at Chick-fil-A Delafield. The right candidate for this role will be passionate about supporting team members and creating a culture of care and accountability. Your Role: As a member of the Director Team , you will partner with the local Owner / Operator to help shape and support the talent development culture of the restaurant.
You will own the talent strategy. This encompasses:
Attracting and Recruiting Talent – You will help us establish and maintain healthy recruiting pipelines to ensure the restaurant remains well-staffed. Creating these connections will be through local schools, churches, universities and more. Selection – culture begins with having the right people on the team. You will help shape our interview and selection processes, molding the character of our team. Welcoming – there is no second chance for a first impression! You will own our welcoming and onboarding process, ensuring our team members feel competent, confident, and prepared for their journey on day one. Retention – our goal is for the entire team to love their job and feel cared for every single day. You will help us shape the Team Member Value Proposition, including benefits, perks, policies, and procedures that show the team we care about them and their well-being both inside and outside of work. Guarding the Culture – our culture reflects who we are and what we value. You will help us develop the standards of excellence we will hold ourselves accountable for maintaining, and the systems required for their enforcement. In addition to owning the talent strategy, you will be responsible for:
Actively coaching and developing around 80-100 employees. Creating an atmosphere of safety and care by reviewing and maintaining proper federal, state, industry, and company HR compliance for 100+ employees. You will help develop new and creative systems to ensure we remain in compliance. Providing opportunity for ongoing leadership development for both Leaders and Team Members. Lead all handbook compliance, including investigations. Maintaining a keen understanding of training trends, development, and best practices. Maintaining all accountability and progressive discipline reports. Performing HR specific reporting (time punch/labor variance, retention reporting, onboarding cost reporting, etc.). Owning HR-specific functions like payroll and scheduling. Coordinating with our Marketing Director for Celebration and event planning (team outings, birthdays/anniversaries, etc.). Working cross-functionally with other team leaders and directors to help improve overall performance of the restaurant. Requirements Include: A servant's heart. We are here to serve the team and our guests, and we are passionate about that service! A deep understanding of the importance of hospitality, and the impact it can have on our community. Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred. SHRM certification preferred. Proven leadership experience leading and developing teams. 2-4 years of experience in HR and/or talent acquisition. Impeccable integrity and character. Strong attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Personal fulfillment in a fast-paced environment. Functional knowledge and experience leveraging technology, applicant tracking systems, social media, company career pages, and recruiting processes. Ability to interact well with internal and external customers, employees, and vendors in a highly professional manner. Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality while handling sensitive information and materials concerning the organization. Spanish language fluency is a plus but not required.
