McFarland Clinic is hiring a Human Resources Assistant in Ames, IA.Candidates should be service-oriented and a team player.Responsibilities include general clerical support and backup for HR functions.

Responsibilities
• Serve as the department receptionist, answer and screen phone calls, greet visitors.• Facilitate revisions and publish Employee Handbook and Emergency Preparedness Quick Reference Guide.• Assist with New Employee Orientation materials preparation.• Prepare ID photo badges and update badge access system.• Assist with updating employee health and immunization records.• Assist with Safety Data Sheet updates and other projects for Safety & Environmental team.• Perform departmental duties including development of charts, documents, presentations, and special projects.• Update benefits records in UKG Pro.• Serve as Epic testing proctor.• Open, sort, and distribute mail.• Scan HR documents and forms into employee document management system and assist with Employee File management.• Order supplies for the HR Department.• Participate on committees as requested.• Maintain strictest confidentiality.• Perform related work as required.
Requirements
• High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.• Associates Degree in related field preferred.• Extensive computer experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office software programs preferred.• One year of experience in administrative or HR setting preferred.• Previous UKG Pro/UltiPro experience preferred.
