The Human Resources Director will support the mission of the Ozarks Community Health Center. Our mission is to provide greater access to quality, compassionate, and professional healthcare through our comprehensive health system and community partnerships.
Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for overseeing the functions of the human resources department.Participates in planning organizational strategy and human resources development.Review and update personnel policies.Develop educational programs for management and staff to ensure understanding and compliance with personnel policies and procedures.Provide technical assistance to directors and managers regarding employment law and personnel policies and procedures.Ensure providers and staff are up to date on required education and work to fulfill other educational needs, as requested.Maintain a current and accurate job description for each position.Work with managers to ensure job description appropriateness.Monitor periodic performance evaluations for all employees.Stay up to date on employment law and regulations.Ensure laws are followed regarding record keeping and practices.Coordinate necessary disciplinary and employment termination actions.Act as a liaison between employees and managers.Assist managers with discipline and coaching skills for their employees.Review employee separation notices and related documentation and ensure exit interviews are conducted.Monitor exit surveys to identify trends with reasons for separation.Provide turnover statistics on a quarterly basis.Monitor the hiring and recruitment process and procedures of the department.Oversee administration of benefits programs and leave of absence programs provided to employees.Handle workers compensation claims.Other duties as requested.Education & TrainingBachelor Degree in Human Resources Management or greater preferred.Must pass annual competencies.Licensure & CertificationsFamily and Friends CPR within 6 months of employment.ExperienceAt least two years experience in a professional field.Healthcare experience is preferred.Knowledge of policies and practices of public personnel administration and personnel law including knowledge of employee compensation, benefits, risk management and safety practices.Skilled in preparing and administering personnel programs and systems.
