Lakeshore Talent is seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a temporary position starting part-time in December 2024 and transitioning to full-time hours in January 2025. This role will cover a 12-week leave, offering a dynamic opportunity for an HR professional to support various people-related initiatives within an organization. Employment Type: Temporary Schedule: Hybrid, standard working hours This role offers a flexible, mostly remote schedule requiring some in-office days as needed. Pay: $35-40/hr Key Responsibilities: Trusted HR Advisor Provide innovative approaches to HR programs and policies. Support people strategies that enhance engagement, diversity, and retention. Offer guidance to employees on personnel matters. Culture and Engagement Promote a positive and values-driven workplace culture. Actively contribute to creating an environment that reflects the organization's core values through programs, policies, and events. Employee Lifecycle Support Oversee recruitment efforts, including resume review, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and drafting offer letters. Administer benefits programs, including health, dental, life insurance, leave policies, and employee assistance. Handle employee inquiries regarding policies and programs. Manage exit processes, including separation notices, documentation, and exit interviews. Compliance and Recordkeeping Assist with ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local HR laws and regulations. Maintain HR records, including I-9s, personnel files, and recruitment documentation. Collaboration and Leadership Support and model organizational goals, vision, and values. Actively contribute to implementing corporate policies and processes. Additional Responsibilities: Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries. Prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities. Undertake other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of federal and state HR compliance laws (e.g., EEOC, FMLA, ADA). Experience in benefits administration and compliance reporting. Effective oral and written communication skills, with strong listening abilities. Ability to multitask, pivot between projects, and build collaborative relationships. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS, and applicant tracking systems. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively. Receptive to feedback with a focus on growth and development. Previous experience working in ADP HRIS Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. At least 3 years of HR generalist experience, including recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
