We are currently seeking a H uman Resources Generalist I to provide general, full employee life cycle HR support to leaders and employees on HR policies, practices, and processes with direction by HRBP. Assists in providing counsel, record management, and administrative support to ensure compliance, consistency, and fairness on all HR related topics.
The selected candidate will have a baccalaureate degree in related field and at least 2 years of relevant HR experience. May consider a combination of relevant education, work experience and credentials in lieu of a baccalaureate degree and the minimum 2 years of relevant HR experience. HR certification desired.
Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
ASSIGNED PROGRAM SUPPORT Supports and assists managers and employees on all HR related topics, such as HR policy/procedure, benefits, compensation, performance management, training and development, and employment law, etc. Review job descriptions and employee compensation to ensure compliance, consistency, and secure appropriate approval. Make recommendations for changes to the HRBP. Enroll/terminate employee benefits in a timely manner. Answer employee benefit questions and conduct benefits orientations as needed. Have discussions with employees regarding FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and other related laws. Assist HR management team with assigned employee disciplinary actions, ensuring all actions are fair, compliant, and consistent with HR policy and practice. Process, verify and maintain documentation relating to HR activities such as staffing, compliance, training, and performance evaluations On-going personnel compliance and audit support. Review and analyze HR programs and processes related to the employee experience such as stay or exit interview results and make recommendations as necessary. Oversee the performance management process, ensuring compliance, timeliness, and consistency. Make suggestions for general policy/procedure clarification or additional HR policy/procedure creation as needed. Serve as back-up and provide general support to HRBP and team. Collaborate with appropriate staff for special HR related projects, processes, or initiatives, as required.
