Overview Are you looking to grow, learn, and contribute your skills within Human Resources? We are searching for a Human Resources Generalist that will provide professional level support in all areas related to Human Resources for our Central region, including responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employee Relations, Compliance, Performance Management, Onboarding, Payroll and Benefits Administration. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager.

Our roots are in Houston, but over the last 50 years our business has taken us throughout North America, Central and South America and Asia. Summary The Human Resources Generalist provides professional level duties related to Human Resources, including responsibilities in the following functional areas: Employee Relations, Compliance, Performance Management, Onboarding, Payroll and Benefits Administration. Participates in HR projects and implements group practices and procedures which ensure consistency, while being aware of legal and cultural requirements.
• Assists in the administration of various human resource programs for designated sites.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Specialist on open roles, interviewing processes, and managing the candidate pool to guarantee a seamless onboarding experience for newly hired employees.
• Manages a variety of HR processes, including performance management, staffing, training initiatives, compensation, career development, employee relations, and HR policy development.
• Coordinates employee relations issues with HR Manager to ensure prompt and appropriate resolution.
• Assists in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures; maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
• Drives continuous improvement by evaluating existing processes and focusing on improvement of tools, digitization, process controls, and increasing the overall efficiency of the HR function.
• Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Responds to questions regarding benefits, payroll, and other HR policies and issues.
• This role involves occasional travel to various locations as part of its responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
• Three to five years of experience providing generalist-level support in an HR department.
• A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred
• PHR or SHRM certification a plus.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies • Demonstrated strong and effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to handle frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, decisiveness, and flexibility.
• Strong conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and employ effective time management skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience preferred in the following systems: ADP, Kronos and iCIMS.
