The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the Senior Manager, Human Resources and performs administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department.
This role also provides support to the office by maintaining and ordering supplies as needed. In addition, this role will provide support to corporate team members when they are visiting the office as needed.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.Provides clerical support to the HR department.May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, entering employee changes, and fixing processing errors.Ensures pre-employment screening requirements are completed for all new hires.Answers the main office telephone and check-in visitors to the office entrance.Assists with planning and execution of special events such as plant-wide meetings, team member recognition events, holiday parties, and anniversary/retirement celebrations.Assists recruiters to source candidates and update our database.Performs other duties as assigned.SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Educational Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Minimum Experience/Field: Minimum 1 - 3 years of experience in a human resource role preferred.
Computer Skills: Good PC skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Incumbent must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Communication Skills: Proven track record working with people and strong interpersonal, collaboration skills.
Additional Education/Experience/Skills: Proven ability demonstrating excellent organization, familiarity with HR software, and strong communication skills.
