A leading Northern California Nut Processor is seeking an experienced HR Manager. The HR Manager will lead and manage the HR function, ensuring alignment with the organization's goals and strategies. This role involves overseeing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. Essential Functions

Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel in compliance with the law and in line with best practices.Recruiting exempt, nonexempt employees and temporary employees, develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top talent.Oversee the hiring process, from job postings to onboarding, exit interviews, and employee relations.Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.Implements and annually updates compensation and benefit program; conduct salary surveys and benchmark against industry standards; rewrites and updates job descriptions as necessary; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.HR metrics and reporting, track and analyze HR metrics to inform strategic decisions and prepare regular reports for senior management.Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, information activities program and cash flow.Compliance and Policy Management; ensure labor laws and regulations, provide guidance on performance improvement plans and employee development.Training & Development: identify needs and coordinate developmental programs, including compliance with sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct in the workplace training.Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Participates in administrative staff meetings and other meetings. Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.Uses and trains employees on the HRM platform to insure time cards and employees records, trainings, documents are up to date and performs all payroll functions.Support employees and assist in the resolution of personnel issues in a confidential and production manner, including but not limited to intake of concerns, conducting investigations, and directing disciplinary procedures.Maintain employee records and files.Cross over other departments to assist as needed.Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.Some travel may be required but would be primarily local during the business day. Some limited out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.Required Education and Experience A bachelor's degree in human resources, or a related field, and 5-7 years of progressive HR experience.Strong knowledge of CA labor laws and HR best practices.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.HRIS and MS Office Suite proficiency.Preferred HR certification (AIHR, HRCI, SHRM).Other Duties

Compensation
This position offers a competitive wage ($28-40/hour) depending on experience and qualifications. In addition: vacation, sick, and holiday pay, 3% 401K contribution.
