The HR Manager is responsible for all Human Resources practices and processes at the site.
They will align with business needs and help implement the company's strategies and
objectives. This role focuses on enhancing employee engagement and developing initiatives
that foster a high-performance culture. Additionally, the HR Manager will assist with North
American HR projects and initiatives as necessary.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Identify ways to enhance organizational capability and foster a culture that aligns with business strategy.Assess the gap between current and desired organizational performance and implement solutions.Participate in collective bargaining negotiations and ensure adherence to agreements.Coach and consult business leaders on effective performance management strategies.Provide guidance on employee relations matters.Advocate for clear employee communication.Maintain positive labor-management relations through various techniques.Guide the HR and leadership team in their communication efforts.Advise business leaders on HR management policies, processes, and systems.Lead and support the HR team in establishing a strong business partnership with the organization.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.Promote ethical practices and adherence to the company's core values.Oversee site compensation programs and ensure competitiveness in pay practices according to corporate policies.Foster positive employee relations and enhance employee engagement.Lead talent acquisition efforts in line with business needs.Utilize metrics to drive HR improvements.Support change management through effective collaboration and communication.Proactively identify potential personnel risks and resistance, developing plans to address these issues.Investigate concerns such as working conditions, disciplinary actions, and grievances, providing recommendations for resolution. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.At least 7 years of progressive HR experience.Ability to understand, create, interpret, and communicate policies clearly.Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.Demonstrated discretion in handling sensitive materials and sound business judgment.Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and their application to real-world scenarios.Strong business acumen and understanding of HR's value to the organization.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.Proven conflict resolution skills and ability to handle difficult situations.Experience using HR metrics and data to achieve results.Minimum of three years of labor relations experience in a union environment.Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
