OverviewLutron is seeking a seasoned and quality-focused Human Resources Manager for our manufacturing and warehousing facilities out of Richmond - Ashland, VA. In this position, you will apply your experience to recruit, hire, and develop the careers of our team to support the growth of our shading solutions business. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving the success of our two facilities through the implementation of effective HR programs and initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesProvide expert HR guidance and organizational insight to leadership teamDrive innovative retention strategiesProvide day-to-day performance management guidance to management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions as necessaryDevelop the staff in the facility through training programs and day-to-day coachingOwn, implement and improve our leadership and career development programsCoordinate with hiring managers and benefits team on the seamless execution of onboarding processes for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the companyBuild relationships with local colleges, universities, and technical schools that will be sources for intern and full-time employeesRecruit and hire engineers, technicians, and manufacturing support that help us achieve our cost, quality, and delivery goals and continuously improve productivityAssist with developing staffing plans to support the facility and the growth of our shading solutions business.Partner closely with leaders to ensure the effective execution of people programs, aligning with business objectives and organizational cultureCollaborate with leadership to identify and prioritize people initiatives, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement and organizational effectivenessApply your proven communication skills to effectively coordinate and present HR updates to team members and key stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor's degreeMinimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00 for all degrees earned15+ years of progressive HR experience across the employee lifecycle (talent attraction, employee relations, talent development)Experience working with both non-exempt and exempt employees across multiple shiftsExperience in a manufacturing environment or distribution center preferredProven understanding of HR principles and practicesHR certification preferred (SPHR/SHRM-SCP)Lutron Electronics' position as the worldwide leader in innovative lighting control and shading solutions has enabled consistent, annual growth.
