HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE ASSISTANT CLERK Location Natchitoches, LA : Supplemental Information Northwestern State University seeks qualified applicants for a part-time position of Human Resources Office Assistant Clerk working 29 hours a week in the Human Resources Department. Human Resources Office Assistant Clerk will perform routine clerical duties to support the various functions of the University Human Resources Department. Two years of administrative assistant experience preferred Requirements - Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to operate general office equipment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to type 60 words a minute. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Ability to maintain confidential information. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a tme. Job Concepts Performs clerical duties including typing, filing, and completion of simple forms. Operates office machines including copiers, scanners, phone and voicemail systems, personal computers, and other standard office equipment. Answers phones, directs calls to appropriate individuals, and prepare messages. Receives and distributes office mail; processes outgoing mail. Prepares letters, memos, forms, and reports according to written or verbal instructions Conducts 1-9 verification on new hires Assist with employment verifications Maintains filing systems either manually or electronically Performs other related duties as assigned.
