Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC TB Mechanical Foreman specializing in chiller service to lead our union-based team. This role requires a minimum of ten (10) years of practical, hands-on experience in industrial HVAC chiller systems, electrical, plumbing, pipefitting, and mechanical equipment service. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising field technicians, ensuring job quality and safety, and maintaining customer satisfaction. This is a leadership position requiring technical expertise, effective communication, and strong organizational skills. What You Will Do As the HVAC TB Mechanical Foreman, you will: Serve as a working foreman, actively engaging in chiller and other HVAC service tasks while coaching and guiding other HVAC technicians. Leverage your expertise to oversee projects involving industrial HVAC chillers and related systems. Lead field technicians by assisting with assigning work, mentoring, and ensuring adherence to company safety protocols. Maintain effective communication with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders. Utilize computer skills in the creation and management of quotes, schedules, service orders, and completion reports. Promote safety, quality, and professionalism on every job. Key Responsibilities Safety Leadership Implement and enforce company safety procedures. Regularly assess safety practices to ensure a safe working environment. Customer Satisfaction Deliver excellent service by maintaining communication and exceeding client expectations. Address customer concerns promptly and professionally. Team Development Mentor and develop apprentices and journeyman technicians to enhance their technical skills. Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new team members. Operational Excellence Collaborate with sales teams to identify and develop new service opportunities. Plan and schedule technician hours to optimize resource use. Ensure timely service completion and quality checks for customer approval. Administrative Responsibilities Accurately post time entries and manage service records. Identify and recommend opportunities for labor and material improvements. Prepare and manage quotes for service jobs. Qualifications Membership or ability to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices (UA) Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with chiller systems and industrial HVAC equipment. Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising and mentoring technicians. Proficiency with computers and software for quoting, scheduling, and service management. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Ability to interact effectively with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders. A self-starter with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
