Reporting to the HVAC Installation Manager, the Field Manager assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations of installation team.
They ensure quality service, efficient work processes, and customer satisfaction by managing teams, coordinating with other departments, ensuring that systems are installed the "Endless Energy way," and implement training and safety protocols.
Key responsibilities include:
Supervising Field Operations: Manage field staff schedules, monitor performance, and address on-site issues promptly to keep projects on track.
Quality Control: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure service quality aligns with company standards and customer expectations.
Training and Development: Train new technicians, support continuous skill improvement, and uphold safety standards.
Customer Service: Serve as a point of contact for escalated customer issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
Reporting and Documentation: Track project progress, report key metrics, and document any deviations from standards.
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in HVAC or related field service roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management position.
Hands-on experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair is highly preferred.
Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in HVAC systems is a plus.
HVAC certifications (e.g., EPA Certification, NATE Certification) are advantageous.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Engineering, or Project Management) is beneficial but not required.
Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team of technicians and field staff.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with both staff and customers.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HVAC systems, equipment, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices for HVAC systems.
Sheet metal design experience a plus Operational and Organizational Skills: Ability to manage schedules, coordinate multiple projects, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Experience using service management software and tools to monitor field operations and track key performance metrics.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
Customer Service Skills: Proven customer service experience and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to handle escalated issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
Physical Requirements: Willingness to be on-site for field support and occasional travel within the service area.
Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting and climbing ladders.
Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends, as needed.
