Serving as a leader, motivator, trainer, recruiter, and sales driver, the Manager of Field Operations inspires their team to provide customers with superior service and craftsmanship. Overseeing both Install and service departments, we are seeking an HVAC Manager of Field Operations that takes pride in the work they do and has a desire to be a part of an organization in growth mode. This position handles hiring and developing staff, inclusive of setting and maintaining goals/standards, production monitoring, and analysis, and obtaining and sharing product knowledge on services and HVAC systems.
\n Key Responsibilities:Lead, direct, motivate, train and hold accountable department to reach their highest level of potential, exceptional customer satisfaction and performance standardsRecruit, interview and onboard new technicians and installers by working with our talent acquisition teamProvide ongoing technical and safety support 24/7 to staff to ensure maintained level of knowledge and skills to do quality workEnsure technicians have necessary tools, equipment, and manpower to maximize potential and provide the highest quality service to customersOversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all residential HVAC installation projects.Assign and manage daily schedules for installation teams, ensuring efficiency and timely completion of work.Monitor progress and resolve any issues that arise during installations.Conduct post-installation follow-ups to ensure satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities.Work with Warehouse Manager to ensure proper inventory, equipment & tools in warehouse & on trucksMaintain involvement with call center, dispatch and various departments to ensure permits are closed, and technicians and install crews are matched to right jobsConsistently provide service and sales performance support to the techs via ride along, site visits, oversight of repairs, customer resolutions and follow-upsProvide technical expertise and support to sales teams during the job scoping and proposal phases of installations.Monitor invoices, forms, photos, equipment and schedulesPrepare/review payroll, spiffs and commissionsPromote enthusiasm and brand loyalty during daily huddles, weekly team meetings, and 1:1's.Help develop annual budgets, control expenses and meet or exceed plan for departmentAssist in reviewing, revising and updating price book tasks as necessary to ensure profitEnsure sufficient staff levels to meet ongoing customer demand and seasonal spikes.Serve as field backup when customer demand is highOther tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient department operations Desired Skills and Experience:Management experience preferably in the skilled tradesStrong understanding of HVAC functions, ductwork modifications, and designPossess the ability to inspire both personal and professional growth in our team members.Be detail-oriented and a highly organized multi-tasker with good presentation skills and the ability to convey confident and decisive messages in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment.Excellent organization skills, accuracy, and dependabilityProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint); Service Titan knowledge is a plusExceptional follow-through capabilitiesKnowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulationsValid Driver's License and clean driving record
