JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing the skilled, discipline specific tasks required to ensure the smooth operation of Universal Orlando Facilities as it pertains to all industrial, commercial and non-commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform daily hot and cold quick calls and service, as needed, on chilled water air handlers, walk-in coolers/freezers, exhaust/supply hood systems and direct expansion air conditioning. Assist HVAC Tech I technicians and communicate to customers as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair select ice machines, direct expansion air conditioning, walk-in coolers and freezers.
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair exhaust/supply fans and variable air boxes.
Perform preventative maintenance and repair on electric heat, heating boilers and chilled water valves.
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repair air curtains, fly fans and drinking fountains.
Training and Development on Tech I responsibilities.
Perform preventative maintenance, clean and replace supply and return air vents. Maintain and repair insulation on ducts and chilled water lines.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SCOPE:
To install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, distribution equipment and related systems and controls for all venues and buildings resort-wide.
EDUCATION:
High school degree or GED is required
Technical school is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial and commercial construction, maintenance facility or a fast paced service company dedicated to HVAC systems, DX systems and general HVAC controls is required.
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
A valid Florida Driver's License is required to operate company vehicles.
(EPA) Universal Refrigerant Certification is required.
A Certification of Training issued by either a State Regulatory agency or construction trade school is preferred.
A valid Journeyman HVAC License is preferred.
