The Bank Compliance Department is charged with oversight and coordination of the Compliance program for the U.S Banks (Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A. and Morgan Stanley Private Bank, National Association). The candidate will join the department as a member of the Fair Banking/Lending team and will report to the Head of Fair Lending Risk Management Compliance. Duties will include conducting qualitative fair banking/lending risk assessments, creating data visualizations for fair banking/lending reports, project management, and advice & guidance.

This role will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Work with lines of business and Bank Compliance SMEs to draft qualitative fair lending risk assessments and monthly/quarterly direction of risk updates for all bank lending products
- Create metrics, KRIs, and data visualizations for monthly/quarterly fair lending risk assessments
- Perform fair banking/lending statistical analyses (underwriting, pricing, redlining)
- Work with SMEs in the development of fair banking/lending compliance training programs
- Assist Head of Fair Lending Risk Management Compliance to manage Fair Banking/Lending projects
- Provide advice and guidance to other Bank Compliance teams, lines of business and relevant control groups to monitor, evaluate, and remediate fair banking/lending compliance issues in line with current industry best practices, and legal and regulatory guidance and requirements.
- Stay abreast of all applicable fair banking/lending rules, regulations, and compliance trends
- Reviewer/approver of business initiatives and marketing campaigns, promotions, etc. from a fair banking/lending perspective
- Reviewer/approver of data access requests from a fair banking/lending lens
- Bachelors degree and 5+ years of Fair Lending/Fair Banking risk management compliance experience at large bank or consulting firm
- Power user of Tableau and Excel
- Experience with Dataiku desired, but not required
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Highly motivated/ self-starter with a sense of ownership, high degree of curiosity and desire to succeed, comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment with many concurrent deadlines

Expected base pay rates for the role in New York will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
