The Bank Compliance Department is charged with oversight and coordination of the Compliance program for the U.S. Banks (Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A. and Morgan Stanley Private Bank, National Association). The candidate will join the department as a member of the Institutional Bank Compliance team and will provide compliance advisory coverage for institutional lending, capital markets and swap dealer activities of the U.S. Banks.
This role will require in office attendance 3 days/week.
Primary Responsibilities:
·Serve as subject matter expert in providing compliance advice and guidance to institutional businesses on the U.S. Banks with respect to banking rules and regulations
·Provide advice and guidance with regard to compliance requirements of Regulation W, Regulation O and the Anti-Tying provisions of the Bank Holding Company Act
·Support the creation, maintenance, and revision of existing and new policies and procedures relating to banking rules and regulations
·Conduct appropriate compliance monitoring
·Provide periodic updates to senior management on institutional banking compliance matters
·Represent Bank Compliance in Swap Dealer compliance matters including preparation of the
Swap Dealer Annual Report
·Prepare compliance related KRIs and dashboards
·Support the development of and conduct compliance trainings for relevant employees
·Conduct compliance risk assessments on the businesses covered and contribute to the development of the Annual Compliance Plan
·Support the Bank Compliance testing team on their reviews of regulations
·Analyze compliance requirements for new product approvals and coordinate with relevant stakeholders in ensuring controls are established to mitigate compliance risk
·Bachelor's Degree; MBA, JD or CRCM preferred
·5-10 years of compliance, business and/or regulatory experience (e.g., OCC or Federal Reserve), with knowledge of the financial service industry, regulatory requirements, and experience in analyzing business risk and best practices
·Familiarity with institutional bank products
·Knowledge of bank laws and regulations, particularly from the OCC, Federal Reserve, CFPB and FDIC
·Knowledge of swap dealer and security-based swap dealer regulations from the CFTC, SEC and NFA
·Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
·Strong client-relations skills and ability to partner with clients to develop practical solutions that meet business needs while remaining compliant with applicable laws and regulations
·Able to perform analysis and problem identification, determine solutions and best execution and able to work under specific deadlines
·Excellent oral, written and analytical skills

·Strong team-orientation

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 110000  and 190000  per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
