A global non profit organization is looking to hire a Purchasing Accountant to join their accounting team.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in the non profit industry in fixed asset and purchasing.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days on site and 2 days remote.
This role is temp to perm.
Job Function:
Assist in the daily administration of the Purchase Order system.
Provide both technical and procedural support to agency users for PO system.
Coordinate technical issues, fixes, and enhancements with PO system provider.
Become a "super user" and teacher.
Assist in maintaining and managing user accounts, user controls and permissions, and approval rules.
Monitor program purchasing, advise purchasers of proper vendors, pricing and purchasing practices.
Assist in the administration of major accounts such as Home Depot, FedEx, Fleet Enterprise, and Wex Bank, including online purchasing systems and departmental invoicing.
Obtain invoice statements from vendors monthly and ensure accuracy.
Conduct quarterly program site visits and audits of Petty Cash, Metro Cards, van logbooks, etc.
Assist in the administration of the agency's fixed assets program.
Facilitate business office reconciliation of purchasing and fixed assets systems.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with at least two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in the non profit industry.
Strong computer skills are required, including Excel.
