All offices are under new executive leadership and we are seeking an enthusiastic patient-centered hygienist to join our dynamic team.
Our team of Hygienists perform a variety of preventative dental procedures as well as educate patients on oral hygiene.
We're big on teamwork, so you'll partner with the dentist(s) in your office to provide the best treatment for your patients.
In order to help you better educate your patients, our offices have iPads that include friendly videos on various dental procedures.
Plus, we take care of the day-to-day operations for you so you can focus on what matters: your patients and their smiles.
Responsibilities: Essential FunctionsReview daily schedule with staff for hygiene patientsWork with front office staff to schedule hygiene patients with efficiencyAccurately chart each patient's periodontal healthClearly communicate with patients in a professional mannerPerform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patientsPerform scaling, root planing and selective polishing for patients as appropriatePolish restorationsAdminister local anesthetics, if allowed by dental practice actPlace medicaments subgingivally for periodontal disease treatmentApply cavity-preventive agents, such as fluorides and sealantsEvaluate patient comfort level during treatment and help relieve patient anxietyAccurately and appropriately record provided treatmentEducate patients on proper oral hygiene techniquesCounsel patients on oral health, including the role of nutritionReview patient health and dental history forms and update as necessaryPerform other tasks assigned by the dentistHandle patient records securely and in compliance with HIPAA regulations along and office policies and standard operating proceduresAccurately record patient medical and dental historiesAssist in the administration of the recall systemActively participate in team meetings Qualifications: EducationMust be licensed to practice in state and meet other applicable state requirementsMinimum two years associate's degree (University-based dental hygiene programs, baccalaureate)Experience working in a fast-paced dental environment; DSO/Group Practice experience preferredSkills and AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists and coworkersStrong verbal skills to communicate professionally with patients and staffProficient multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage time efficientlyAbility to travel between locations preferred
