Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IBM Sterling MFT Integration Developer to join our Client's team.
This role is responsible for development, onboarding, and support activities within the IBM Sterling Managed File Transfer (MFT) Integration environment.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various file transfer protocols and the ability to lead projects that meet evolving business needs.
Join our team and contribute to the development and support of critical file transfer systems in a dynamic environment.
Develop and set up file transfer connections in Sterling.
Participate in business meetings and perform impact analysis of new requirements.
Lead projects to extend IBM Sterling capabilities and related system components.
Monitor file transfer activity and provide daily system support.
Troubleshoot issues related to transmission, transformation, encryption, and decryption.
Train and mentor team members
Contribute to best-practice materials for improved onboarding and support processes.
Apply analytical skills in troubleshooting, testing, and solution development.
Top skills:

Job/class description:
Perform all phases of applications systems analysis and design. Analyze systems specifications and develop applications to support information systems processes. Prepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written. Design, code, test, debug, document and maintain these programs. Formulates scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.
Ensure team members understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions, organizational standards are maintained, and applications are delivered according to project timeliness. Provide expert system knowledge, perform research, attend meetings, and review documents.
Maintain and modify programs according to specifications. Code, compile, and implement application software that is delivered on time and within budget. Evaluate basic interrelationships in immediate programming area to determine how changes in one program will affect another related area.
Test modified programs, create necessary test files and data, verify logic, debug, and write relevant documentation.
Analyze production systems, recommend systems enhancements, provide instruction to production support team. Research customer issues and determine appropriate resolutions. Coordinate implementation of modifications or enhancements.
Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. Develop functional design and technical specifications, concept diagrams, and work flow diagrams and related procedures to process data using appropriate systems environment/platform. Document programs/procedures.

Expertise in creating Sterling B2B business processes.
Experience with file transfer protocols: (S)FTP, HTTP/S, Connect:Direct, AWS S3
Working knowledge of SSL and SSH security layers with HTTP and FTP protocols
Proficiency in PGP encryption/decryption methods
Familiarity with database management and SQL query development
Other key technologies include Github, Urban Code Delpoy, Java Script, XML
Strong understanding of applications/development, quality assurance and integration methodologies, concepts and facilities in a mainframe, midrange, and/or PC/LAN environment.

Required education/equivalencies:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree)
