Job Role: IBM Z Storage Administrator Location: Chicago, IL /Buffalo, NY/Jersey City, NJ (Onsite) Mode of Hiring: Long Term Contract Job Description: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline preferred.
8-12 years of relevant work experience.
Hands on experience in a GDPS, Global Mirror, Metro Mirror, HiperSwap environment .
Thorough knowledge and expertise with HCD in a large scale enterprise environment with numerous CECs across multiple locations Knowledge of Brocade SAN equipment and associated management tools (Brocade Network Advisor) Experience installing and configuring IBM Mainframes, Virtual Tape systems, and DS8000 DASD .
Knowledge of dataset structures.
(PDS, PDSE, GDG, VSAM, etc.)
Experience Administering DFSMS policies and constructs Knowledge and experience with IBM Flashcopy process Knowledge of FDR/ABR and DFDSS Experience with CA1 Tape Management Software Experience with TDMF Coding Languages: Assembler, Automation, GDPS, Rexx and CLIST skills Proficiency in Security software tools : RACF and ACF2 and performance monitoring using Omegamon, RMF, SMF and SAS
