You will utilize the nursing process in the delivery of developmentally appropriate care. You will also work in collaboration with other health care professionals to provide a comprehensive plan of care to meet the patient/family needs.
What your day will look like: Requires advanced professional knowledge in own field and basic knowledge of related fields - Knowledgeable of industry best practices and regulations. Acts as a resource for less experienced colleagues and may lead projects - Solves complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions. Impacts customer, operational, project, or service activities within own and related teams - Works independently with minimal guidance. Explains difficult information and works to build consensus. Oversees patient care team and coordinates care plan. Accountable for patient care meeting safety, effectiveness, and patient rights standards. Prescribes, delegates, and coordinates patient care using nursing skills and evidence-based guidelines. Provides education and facilitates learning for patients, families, and team members. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plan. Advocates for patient and resolves ethical and clinical concerns. Accurately documents patient encounters and protects patient health information. Adheres to infection prevention initiatives. Delivers competent care with emphasis on good customer relations and evidence-based practice. Continuously evaluates patient condition and collaborates with healthcare team - Manages environmental and system resources for patients and families. Success Factors: Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Master's degree). Current State of Texas Registered Nurse license. Two or more years of recent critical care experience. Current AHA BLS Certification. Current AHA ACLS Certification. CCRN preferred. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Basic computer knowledge.
