Role Description Criminal defense and immigration law firm has a position open for an entry level Immigration associate.
Firm is located in Downtown Boston near all T lines.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Associate to join our dynamic legal team.
This position is ideal for individuals looking to represent individuals who are seeking Immigration benefits or need representation in Immigration proceedings.
The Associate will assist with various legal tasks and gain valuable experience in a supportive environment.
There will also be opportunities to learn Criminal law and the intersection between criminal and Immigration law.

Duties Conduct thorough legal research on various topics, including but not limited to Immigration law and Criminal law.Assist attorneys with drafting legal documents, motions and correspondence.Maintain organized files and documentation for ongoing cases.Utilize legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation.Collaborate with team members on case strategies and administrative tasks within the law office.Speak and meet with clients who are incarcerated or detained.Provide general administrative support as needed, including scheduling meetings and managing calendars. Qualifications Have passed the Massachusetts bar, or be awaiting bar resultsMust be bilingual in English and SpanishStrong research skills with a focus on legal research methodologies.Familiarity with Immigration law through coursework or prior internship/employment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Desire to work with the local Latino population, including individuals who may have a criminal record.A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development within the legal field.
