OverviewFrontgrade is seeking a Import/Export Specialist with responsibility for supervising and implementing the day-to-day operations of the Frontgrade Global Trade Compliance Policy.
The Specialist, in this Hybrid role, will report to the Lead of Global Trade Compliance. The Import/Export Specialist is responsible for applying compliance expertise for accurate development of services for multiple departments, improving Compliance programs, and ensuring adherence to the relevant Security, State, and Federal Policies and Standards. Hybrid location in Colorado Springs CO, Exeter NH or Carlsbad CA. ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES Completing or overseeing responsibility for all import and export compliance requirements for each proposed export, import and re-export transaction, in coordination with the other relevant employees within the company to ensure that each proposed transaction complies with applicable requirements under import and export control laws and regulations as well as the requirements set forth in the Export and Import manuals.In coordination with a Frontgrade Technical Advisor, completing and filing export jurisdiction and classification determinations for Frontgrade products.Assist in the drafting and development of processes and related collateral to monitor the quality and effectiveness of the company's compliance program.Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders on regulatory-related projects, including data analysis and validation, and assisting in the development of related processes and reporting.Develop and present reports on compliance adherence, identify gaps and risks, and collaborate with partner teams to mitigate risks and improve adherence to compliance.Research and review federal and state regulations, draft summaries of relevant tasks for internal stakeholders; track related stakeholder compliance implementation to project timelines, etc., prepare and provide updates as needed.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Minimum: U.S. PersonMinimum of 5 years related experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent 9 years of experience without degree.Applicable experience in lieu of a Degree may be considered.Manufacturing experience a must.Knowledge of the EAR and ITAR and Jurisdiction and classification process will be preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (minimum: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Must be detail oriented with reliable follow-up ability.Ability to communicate with all levels of management.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Preferred: Understand the provisions and requirements of the applicable import and export control regulations as well as some experience and familiarity with the civil liability for violating the US Arms Export Control Act and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by either ITAR or EAR U.S. export laws. As a condition to this job offer, in order to be employed in this position, you must be able to obtain a U.S. Government export license(s), as required by law.Pay Range: $70,752 - $88,440 annually.
