Inbound/Inventory Team Lead

Catbird is seeking an experienced leader to join our warehouse team! The Inbound Inventory Team Lead will support the Inbound/Inventory Assistant Manager in short and long term planning and daily management of the Inbound/Inventory Control Department activities to ensure a high level of inventory integrity. This position will identify and resolve inbound/inventory-related issues by analyzing data, defining problems, drawing valid conclusions and driving changes for improvement.

\n Key Responsibilities Assists manager to ensure the execution of daily tasks and activities while observing department needs and provide feedback on continuous improvement for the departmentIdentifies and communicates to team of the proper receiving, handling, and routing of merchandise as well as safely loading/unloading of merchandiseProactively address any vendor compliance issues presented in packaging, labeling, ticketing, and shipment of merchandiseEnsures that damaged/problem merchandise such as poor construction, incorrect sizing, etc. and RTV's are identified and processed according to established guidelines while reporting any foreseeable customer issues to proper channelsReport any inventory product issues, present results and recommendations to management, and with cross-functional teams when necessaryComplete all necessary reports in a timely and accurate fashion while maintaining proper documentationMonitors all putaway/replenishment to restock warehouse locationsConduct cycle counts for the purpose of inventory accuracy and location accuracy; flag any shrink issues and defective inventory, and share facts/data related to inventoryConducts product inspections and inventory adjustments, and correct shortagesSlot high velocity product in efficient locations to maximize inventory pick efficiency for faster and easier accessibilityAssist in evaluation of QC/Prep staff; allocates inventory to prep team and maintains overview of final productHave a thorough working knowledge of the different roles and operating systems in order to ensure operational complianceWork closely with the outbound team while maintaining communication with the merchandising team and customer service teamCo-manage Physical Inventory Counts, facilitate and participate in stock countsAssists in new associate training and communicates how processes relate to the customers' business objectivesAssists in supervision of IC associates participating in putaway, replenishment, and cycle countingMonitors that associates meet productivity targetsEnsure compliance with financial policies and procedures such as inventory accuracy and control, returns, damages, etc.Ensure day-to-day activities are in alignment with the location safety strategyProvide associates with communication, training, feedback, and direction to ensure safe performanceEnsure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and company policies and proceduresConduct safety observations and maintain clean and organized work space and work tools, i.e. pallet jack, while following safety guidelinesUnderstand customer goals & objectives and work to meet and exceed these expectations dailyDetermine areas that could benefit from Continuous Improvement effortsIdentify root causes of inventory discrepancies to minimize customer issues Our Ideal CandidateClear and concise communication, both written and verbalTime management/prioritization and follow-up skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environmentBe able to work with changing priorities, and tight deadlinesMeet daily expectations and goalsHighly organized and detail orientedPossess a professional and positive attitudeProficiency in basic math that is required to handle operational tasks and to understand reporting dataMust be able to demonstrate proficiency with computers including utilizing shortcuts, software applications/programs like Google Workspace and warehouse and order management software Perks & BenefitsHealthcare eligibility following 30 days of hire with 75% of the medical premium covered by Catbird.
