Income Research Analyst

Global X Management Company LLC ("Global X") is seeking a highly motivated Income Research Analyst to join our Research Team. Working closely with other Research Team members and stakeholders across the firm, the Research Analyst will focus on our income-oriented ETFs, including funds centered around alternatives, dividend income, fixed income, preferred stock, and REITs. The Research Analyst is expected to be an impactful contributor to the Research Team, including developing, maintaining, and promoting client-facing research content, conducting in-depth research projects, and communicating insights with clients, prospects, and media.
Primary Responsibilities Create and maintain differentiated and engaging though leadership on income for our research library (www.globalxetfs.com/research) in a variety of mediums, including written text, data visualization, presentation slides, videos, and more. Monitor, analyze, and synthesize recent news, financial and academic research, and economic data relevant to equity income and fixed income opportunitiesDevelop educational content to help investors understand the ETF structure, mechanics, liquidity, and broader competitive landscape for equity income and fixed incomeAssist investors with how to use preferred stock and bond-related investments tactically and strategically within a diversified portfolioCollaborate with the Product team to review the exposure, index methodologies and competitive positioning of existing income-based ETFs, as well as identify and help develop potential new product opportunities Conduct regular and ad-hoc research for internal and external stakeholders on various topics relevant to our ETFs and/or the ETF industryRespond to client questions about ETF methodology, performance attribution, fundamentals, and macro-driversCommunicate firm's value proposition, details of firm's products and services, and market insights to financial services professionals and investors, with varying levels of investing acumen and subject matter expertise via conference calls, webinars, in-person meetings, presentations to large groups, and moreExemplify Global Xs culture of problem-solving, creative thinking, collaboration, and integrity Required Skills Direct experience in preferred stock and fixed income through trading, research, or sales capacity Advanced communication skills, including demonstrated abilities in business writing, data analysis and visualization, and verbal presentationsAdvanced skills in: Excel (index match, VLOOKUP, cell and chart formatting, dynamic formulas, sheet linking, VBA, pivot tables/charts)PowerPointAdept at synthesizing and concisely communicating nuanced topics to senior leadership, investment professionals, and investors across all levels of investing/conceptual acumenStrong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects in a dynamic environment while maintaining personal initiativeKnowledge of and deep passion for financial markets, with a particular focus on commodities investmentsAttention to detailMotivated self-starter and consummate teammate Education and Experience 3-5 years of experience working in asset management (research, portfolio management, or sales-related functions), sell-side research, sales and trading, investment banking, venture capital, or management consultingIntention of pursuing or progress towards CFA designation preferred, but not mandatory Desired Skills Experience with specialized financial software (Bloomberg, Factset, etc.), including excel APIsSeries 7 & 63 (license will be required within three months of start date) Our Offering Global X offers a competitive salary and benefits package and hybrid schedule. For New York City Only The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$120,000. In addition, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and competitive benefits package. The total compensation package for this position may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
