Independent Pharmacy Pharmacist

We are searching for a dedicated Independent Pharmacy Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing and providing pharmaceutical care in an independent community pharmacy setting, ensuring optimal medication therapy and delivering personalized patient care.
The ideal candidate will possess a background in community pharmacy or a willingness to learn, a commitment to patient well-being, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities: Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Conduct comprehensive medication reviews to identify, resolve, and prevent medication-related problems.
Provide patient counseling and education on medication use, adherence, potential side effects, and health maintenance.
Develop personalized medication action plans and ensure proper medication management and adherence.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and enhance patient outcomes.
Manage inventory and procurement of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and handling.
Assist patients with insurance claims, prior authorization processes, and finding cost-effective medication alternatives.
Participate in the development and implementation of community health initiatives and wellness programs.
Stay current with best practices and advancements in community pharmacy and pharmaceutical care.
Engage in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's of Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
Experience in community or independent pharmacy.
State pharmacy license in good standing.
Proficiency in utilizing pharmacy management software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Familiarity with managing a pharmacy business, including inventory, staffing, and financials.
Dedication to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
