JOB SUMMARY The Indirect Purchasing Buyer will manage the sourcing and procurement of indirect goods and services, including IT, marketing, travel, facilities, and professional services. Key responsibilities include collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop category strategies that enhance value, quality, and efficiency, while overseeing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.) Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, needs, and challenges, aligning them with overall supply chain strategy and goals. Develop and implement category strategies for indirect goods and services based on market research, benchmarking, and best practices. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure optimal terms, service levels, and pricing. Oversee supplier performance, relationships, and risk, driving continuous improvement and innovation. Execute purchase orders while monitoring and reporting on category spend, savings, and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for further optimization. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, managing supplier audits and assessments. Keep up to date with industry trends, developments, and best practices, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders and suppliers. Support the development and implementation of supply chain processes, tools, and systems. Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to all state and federal regulations, Company policies and procedures. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company's information and products. Promptly report any breaches, whether they pertain to IT cyber security, infrastructure, or building security, ensuring the safety and integrity of our data and operations. Perform other duties as assigned. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience Education: Bachelor's degree, Industrial Engineer or equivalent experience. Experience: Experience executing a global indirect purchasing strategy within operational departments. Skilled in building and managing an indirect supply base, category management, and fostering partnerships to fulfill growing company and production needs. Proficient in procuring goods and services: CAPEX MRO/Temporary Labor, General Services, Software and Equipment, Consumables, Real estate, etc. Ability to identify opportunities to minimize costs and enhance efficiency. Experience in onboarding and managing suppliers to ensure strong performance. Proven track record in developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs). Familiarity with Request for Quotations (RFQ's). Experience in coordinating and expediting purchasing orders to ensure timely delivery. Knowledge of handling blanket purchase orders for both direct and indirect purchases. Ability to maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet organizational needs. Experience in tracking and monitoring shipments, providing status updates to key partners. Skills: Proficiency in software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems). Data analysis. Project management. Time management. Preferred Skills/Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience. Other: Extended or irregular hours may be required. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Receives detailed instructions as needed.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. COMPENSATION / BENEFITS Adient Aerospace offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity. Salary Range Transparency: $80,000 - $110,000 annually
