Role Detail
Position Title: Indirect Tax Manager
Location: USA
Company: Vodafone US Inc.
Role Purpose
Manage all aspects of the America's Indirect Tax compliance process including but not limited to US Transaction taxes
Prepare, maintain, and manage all Indirect tax related journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations
Manage all aspects of tax audits and inquiries, and tax notice resolution from state and local tax agencies
Partner with the International Tax Teams, Business Teams, and other corporate functions to serve as the America's in-house tax advisor for business transactions and new and expanding business product lines
Ability to research technical tax issues and articulate clearly interpretations, recommendations, and conclusions to non-technical professionals
Identify and implement process improvements including utilization of new technologies
Monitor legislative and case law changes that impact indirect tax guidance and the impact to the company
Key Accountabilities
Ownership of all America's Transaction and telecommunications tax remittances, payments, accounting and reconciliations
Manage external advisors and tax shared service team members
Efficiently respond to all audit activity and state inquires
Effectively Partner and communicate with the business and other internal stakeholders
Lead multiple tax projects to ensure compliance with state and local tax laws
Identify and implement process improvements
Monitor Transaction tax systems to ensure correct tax rates and rules are applied
Maintain customer and vendor exemption certificates
Understand and monitor constantly changing rules and regulations of each jurisdiction

Key Qualifications
Essential
Bachelor's degree, Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
6+ years of indirect tax experience, preferably with a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
Knowledge of financial and tax systems including SAP, Vertex, Avalara, Alteryx, BNA
Knowledge of MS Office products
Desired
Telecommunications taxation experience a plus
CPA or other certification highly desired
Compensation Range
$107,200 - $160,800 / yr
