Job DescriptionSummary: The Industrial Engineer I will guide and support efforts to ensure Performance Excellence programs are developed and managed using a data-driven focus which sets priorities for improvements aligned to ongoing strategic imperatives. The Industrial Engineer I role is at the center of critical efforts to continuously evolve the organization and make impactful changes. This is a hands-on role, diving deep to understand the current processes utilizing extensive data analysis, statistical methods, and process and value stream mapping to understand root causes and provide recommendations.
Responsibilities: Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
Acquires data and converts it to information to draw conclusions for recommendations
Analyzes data and processes to perform gap analysis
Supports root cause to drive corrective action across all departments of the organization
Supports improvement activity and action plans
Supports using Lean principles to identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Participates with teams, work groups, projects, and activities designed to improve operational performance and processes
Supports cross-functional teams in the deployment of processes to provide improved results
Tracks performance metrics and provides feedback to project leads
Assists to capture and report on project deliverables
Must ve proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and Outlook
Must be familiar with the basics of Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Must have the ability to work full-time in a hospital, clinic, or office environment
Must be able to work with all levels of associates across the organization
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Participates in other special projects and performs other job duties as assigned
Requirements: 0 – 2 years of experience required
Preferred experience in a healthcare setting
Lean Green Belt, Six Sigma Green Belt, or Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
