The RoleThis Information Security Engineer II position operates in a support role implementing security, technology, and innovation within the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) environment. The GSOC operates 24x7x365. The GSOC plays a pivotal role in the Managed Services organization, responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the Lumen Managed Security portfolio. This role performs security event management functions, including monitoring, detection, and triage of security events and alerts in a Security Information Event Monitor (SIEM) and associated monitoring systems. It facilitates the ingress, implementation, and egress of advanced client trouble/change requests for managed premise, cloud, next-generation firewall, managed DDoS, Threat Intelligence, and Secure Log Management products.
The Information Security Engineer II is expected to perform as a shift lead, including basic shift lead duties, escalation support, and potential on-call responsibilities. This role also provides mentoring, training, and escalation support to frontline SOC personnel.

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related operational or technology field plus 3-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred:
