Overview LMI is seeking a skilled Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Colorado Springs, CO. The ISSO will design and lead the implementation and maintenance of classified and unclassified networks supporting United States Space Force (USSF), United States Space Command (USSPACECOM), Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and/or other space domain customers. These networks support modeling, simulation, and analysis, software development, and mission operations. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance and U.S citizenship. Responsibilities Support Government customers in an advisory and technical subject matter expert capacity for designing, executing, monitoring, protecting, and overseeing classified and unclassified network system development, implementation, and secure use. Work alongside the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, and other program stakeholders to design and implement a secure warfighting network. Ensure compliance to U.S. Government cybersecurity and information assurance regulations and directives, as applicable, for each network overseen. Develop and maintain documentation for Certification and Accreditation (CA), to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, and Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAM). Identify and mitigate network system vulnerabilities, threats, and risks by conducting technical assessments and determining non-compliance with regulations. Ensure that security requirements are defined and analyzed correctly. Ensure that personnel have the necessary technical and security training. Establish security designs for systems, including hardware, software, data, and procedures. Support the secure operation and maintenance of systems. Perform system certification and accreditation planning and testing. Communicate with Program Managers, Customers, and LMI corporate equities about security issues. Develop documents and briefings to communicate work status, briefs to government and industry as required. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 10+ years of professional experience or master's degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of professional experience. Demonstrable background in Information Systems Security for classified and unclassified networks. Able to work collaboratively across disciplines in a fast paced, dynamic, and small team environment. Strong organization and communication skills, verbal and written. Active TS/SCI. U.S. Citizenship. Desired: Experience in the space domain and with simulation and enterprise systems. Familiarity with large-scale data management in cloud environments. CASP+ Secure Cloud Professional (CSP) Sec+ A+ Certified Cloud Practioner Experience with Linux Essentials and or Cisco Azure Fundementals Target salary range: $104,000 - $184,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications. The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
