ESC has an exciting direct hire opportunity for an IT Business Analyst working in a hybrid environment for our premier client in Elkhorn. This role is responsible for identifying, proposing, and executing business solutions to align with the organization's technical strategies and goals. The role coordinates projects under the guidance of the Manager of IT Operations, ensuring adherence to established processes. Collaboration with stakeholders across departments is essential to meet defined objectives and project requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are core to the position; additional tasks may be assigned as needed. These reflect management's assignment of key functions and do not restrict the possibility of other duties. Elicit, analyze, and document requirements across stakeholders to ensure all needs are captured and conceptualized effectively. Collaborate with stakeholders to secure agreement on Future State workflows and requirements. Develop user stories in collaboration with third-party vendors, architects, engineers, developers, and business partners. Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle. Create and update process documentation, user guides, knowledge articles, and handbooks. Assist Project Managers with tasks across all departments, as directed by the Manager of IT Operations. Independently manage small to medium-sized projects, including tracking plans, schedules, and timelines using project management tools. Identify and manage changes in project scope, develop contingency plans, and mitigate potential risks. Participate in the testing phase of projects (QA, MTT, and UAT) in coordination with stakeholders, Project Managers, and external vendors. Support internal teams in creating training materials for new tools and processes. Serve as the security administrator for the organization's HRIS system. Collaborate with departments to identify, analyze, and implement system improvements. Evaluate and test new hardware or software for compatibility with existing applications. Provide training as assigned by the manager to various departments. Conduct new hire orientation alongside HR, focusing on IT and security needs. Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst. Experience creating technical and process documentation, as well as instructional content. Proficiency with productivity tools for creating workflows, diagrams, and charts. Familiarity with Waterfall or Agile methodologies and the ability to coordinate projects effectively. Experience with Microsoft O365 and Teams preferred. Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Valid Wisconsin driver's license. Proof of minimum auto liability insurance coverage. Must provide a reliable personal vehicle for travel between locations on a daily basis. Participation in an on-call rotation providing 24/7 technical support to maintain system uptime. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong technical and analytical skills. Excellent organizational abilities with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently. Ability to foster working relationships with staff, supervisors, department heads, and vendors. Understanding and appreciation for the sensitivity of process and role changes. Interactions and Communications: Ability to provide expert information and recommendations in both written and verbal forms. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer support skills. Decision Making: Authority to make decisions consistent with policies and precedents, with managerial guidance available when needed. Decisions directly impact departmental performance and contribute to informed decision-making processes. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
