**Amentum** is currently seeking an **Information Technology Technician III/System Administrator** in **West Palm Beach, FL** to support the NATO FORACS project.
The NATO FORACS project's Mission is to provide NATO maritime forces with the opportunity to undergo comprehensive calibration of sensor, weapon, combat, communication, and navigation systems to clearly defined accuracy and performance standards.
The project operates under the umbrella of the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC).
AUTEC supports Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training.
AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments.
The **Information Technology Technician III** is responsible for supporting sensor accuracy testing on US and NATO surface ships, submarines, and helicopters for the AUTEC Project.

**Essential Responsibilities:**
+ Under limited supervision, installs, operates, configures and maintains NATO FORACS IT equipment/systems in accordance with established procedures to support collection of data over data collection network.
+ Under supervision of Test Director, monitors network operation, verifying data source, quality and quantity to ensure data represent sensor performance.
+ Package test data for post-test data processing.
+ As required, assist data analysis and prepare test data for sensor performance assessment and statistical analysis.
+ Utilize software tools and configure COTS software solutions to enhance work procedures and processes.
+ Carry out maintenance, quality and configuration control of FORACS' software.
+ Perform routine tasks as System Administrator, to include system backup, managing user accounts, installing and configuring software, etc.
+ Perform user support on specialized data applications.?
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ 2-3 years experience as a system administrator.
+ Formal Training/Certification in three or more areas of Information Technology disciplines (hardware, software, networking).
In lieu of training/certification requirement, a bachelor's degree in an IT discipline.
+ Security + certification
+ Experience writing scripts to automate system administration
+ Understanding of software development and configuration control.
+ Required to travel to locations away from headquarters 15% - 25% of year, depending on testing schedule.
+ Applicant must be able to participate in tests on board all types of Navy vessels.
+ Must be able to lift and carry material up to 50 lbs.
+ Must be able to climb stairs/ladders and work at heights.
+ Able to deploy to sea on navy ships and submarines and operate equipment from range support working craft.
+ Able to work in tight spaces and work at heights.
+ Must obtain and maintain qualifications in accordance with DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Management Program, February 15, 2023, and supporting Department of Navy policies, for work role 461 - Systems Security Analyst proficiency level Intermediate within 9 months of appointment.
+ **Applicant must be able to deploy to sea and to locations with limited medical facilities for short duration.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, and desktop virtualization preferred.
+ Knowledge of fiber optic networking preferred.
+ Knowledge of Wide Area Networking over RF preferred.
