The JobAs the Senior Technical Product Manager (TPM / Product Owner) for Infrastructure & Operations, you will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our internal platforms that support automated, scalable, and reliable infrastructure globally. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, Support, Legal, and Security to ensure the development and delivery of infrastructure automation that meet the technical demands of modern cloud environments. Your focus will be on reducing operational toil, improving system reliability, and enhancing the overall developer experience.
Your Day-to-Day RoleProduct Strategy: Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for products built by the DevOps, SRE, and Production Engineering teams, ensuring alignment with company scale, reliability and security goals and internal engineering needs.Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, security, product, and support teams to understand technical challenges, identify areas for improvement, and prioritize solutions.Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the infrastructure product backlog. Ensure that engineering teams have a clear understanding of feature requirements, goals, and timelines. Balance technical debt with key enhancements to remove toil from our environment.Automation & Reliability: Focus on delivering tools and platforms that automate infrastructure management, reduce operational toil, and increase system reliability.User Empathy: Understand the pain points and needs of developers to provide solutions that improve their productivity, efficiency, and satisfaction.Data-Driven Decisions: Use data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the impact of product releases and inform future product decisions.Stakeholder Management: Serve as a key point of contact for infrastructure-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication around product status, timelines, and deliverables.Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies in infrastructure, DevOps, Platform engineering, and SRE practices.Documentation & Training: Ensure that product documentation is thorough and provides guidance for internal teams. Facilitate training sessions as needed.Agile Product Owner: Work closely with Team Leads and Directors of Infrastructure to ensure we perform Agile ceremonies and comply with Agile standards at the Sprint and Quarter level. Present quarterly reviews of the team's accomplishments and future plans.Your Work ExperienceTechnical Background: A strong understanding of infrastructure, cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and DevOps methodologies is required.Experience: 8+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on infrastructure, DevOps, Platform, Developer Efficiency or SRE products. Prior experience working closely with engineering teams is essential.Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex projects from conception through to execution.Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on creative, scalable, and pragmatic solutions to technical challenges.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Agile Methodology: Hands-on experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to advocate for users and balance user needs with business goals.Preferred SkillsExperience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).Hands-on knowledge of cloud-native technologies and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Hands-on with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Elastic, OpenSearch, Looker, etc).Understanding of security and compliance best practices in cloud environments. This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
