Innovation Coordinator - Tennessee Charles Lea Center is looking to hire a full-time Innovation Coordinator .
Innovation Coordinator works under the guidance of the State Director Innovative Services with the focus of Coordinator is to support people to live more effectively and meaningful lives by supporting them to secure nontraditional services that encompass a combination of staff supports and enabling technologies. This includes, residential, employment, and community supports. Key areas include, assessment, person centered / MAP's planning, linking people to services, training, and advocacy. ABOUT THE CHARLES LEA CENTER At the Charles Lea Center, we believe that everyone person should have the right to have a meaningful life whether they have a disability or not by providing an array of supports that respect the uniqueness of each person by offering nontraditional innovative services that support individuals with disabilities to live work and play.
We are looking for Innovation Coordinator s to help us develop and implement a unique and new service in Tennessee designed to help young adults in the communities where they live, work, and play. Using a unique approach built around person centered, employment first, and technology first thinking. We are looking for Innovation Coordinators grounded in person centered thinking, who can foster a creative and forward-thinking approach to providing services in Tennessee.
The Charles Lea Center is a CQL accredited organization that is based in Spartanburg South Carolina and provides services in South Carolina, and North Carolina and recently was awarded a contract with the Tennessee Department If intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to provide services in their State. QUALIFICATIONS At least 18 years of age Ability to pass a background check upon hire Valid driver's license Requirements Master's Degree in Social Work, Human Services or relate field from an accredited University or College.
Two (2) years of experience in providing and or coordinating services to people with disabilities and special needs and/or case management services
- OR- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field from an accredited University or College.
Four (4) years of experience in providing an or coordinating services to people with disabilities and special needs and/or with case management services

A DAY AS THE INNOVATION COORDINATOR As the Innovation Coordinator, you provide services and supports focused on achieving goals for the people we support. Provide technical assistance to Community Providers implementing services for people referred Advocate on behalf of person / guardian to assure that services being provided reflect the desires of person guardian. Upon successfully transitioning to community services conduct 30, 60, 90 day follow up to assure satisfaction with services and those desired outcomes are being achieved.
