PRIMARY ROLE Position Summary
The Inside Sales Manager will oversee the day-to-day activities of the inside sales representatives based in our Distribution Center. Key responsibilities include coaching, developing people, and fostering a strong team culture. The manager will also maintain their own sales territory assignments while ensuring team processes and procedures are followed consistently in Houston. This role will have direct management responsibility for a team of inside sales representatives.

JOB EXPECTATIONS Main Responsibilities and Essential Tasks Prioritize the team's skill development to build capabilities and future leaders within the trainee program.Lead and drive the inside sales culture and energy in the Houston office.Ensure consistent implementation of best practices for account management, service, and navigating Woodgrain's systems.Ensure samples are in stock and readily available for reps and customers.Track call volume and order entry for inside sales employees.Assist with the return process, notifying customers of unsellable returns and coordinating the return process back to the customer.Assist in scheduling training for the Inside Sales team with vendors.Ensure OEZRL reports are monitored and customers are informed of any delays.Assist in driving positive growth on the complete and on-time metrics.Liaison between Home Depot accounts and the Newington Branch:Manage scheduling.Ensure proper parts are ordered.Work with Sales to keep customers informed.Assist with problem-solving and facilitate communication across departments.Collaborate closely with operations staff to strengthen partnerships.Lead by example in managing individual sales territories.Assist in reporting lost sales, excess inventory, potential sales spikes, unbilled deliveries, unresolved deductions, and aging reports.Encourage the team's strong usage of the CX system.Perform other duties as assigned.JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education and Experience Proven leadership abilitiesStrong customer service skillsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProficient in MS Office, Excel, and OutlookAbility to master ERP and CX softwareStrong organizational and coaching skillsIntegrity in all actions and decisions WORK ENVIRONMENT Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk working on a computer.Ability to stand, walk, sit, and hear.Dexterity to use hands and fingers for keyboarding and office equipment.Able to lift up to 5 pounds occasionally.Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.Noise levels range from low to moderate.Occasional travel required.
