What is an Inside Sales Specialist?
They help Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) build and deliver solutions for our utility customers as they strengthen our nation's infrastructure.
We deliver the stringing blocks, tooling, safety products and services our customers need.
An Inside Sales Specialist collects information from multiple sources, makes decisions to fulfill the customers' needs, develops quotations, executes orders, and ensures the fulfillment meets or exceeds our customers' expectations.
Where will I work?

Why does CTOS need me?
We need someone following up on open issues, constantly looking for closure.
Someone to fill the gaps presented by having multiple sources of information and results to sift through, sharing those results with the right people at the right time.
This person will be the point person making sure our stringing blocks and overall stringing gear and tools are ready to go to work to help lineman deliver power to our communities.
The ISS position will report directly to the PTA Product Manager, Maryann Spera.
While the candidate is mastering the aspects of the position, they will be introduced to additional responsibilities, such as determining the appropriate product for the customers' needs, developing quotes with the appropriate pricing and most cost-effective freight, converting these quotes into orders, answering questions, determining/tracking freight, and communicating order status.
During mastery of these items the ISS will fill in for expected and unexpected absences of the oveall PTA sales team.
In the future this position can grow into becoming an Sales Specialist, Associate Product Manager, Sales Manager, Product Manager or other roles as the PTA team grows and expands.
Essential Responsibilities & Requirements:
• Learn and master operational procedures while being change and detail oriented
• Communicate with business partners to ensure proper rental and sales administration tasks are being completed accurately, and quality customer service is provided
• Ensure that all customers, internal and external, are promptly followed-up with, and are kept apprised of the process during and after the inception of the kitting process
• Efficient and friendly communication with inside/outside partners and customers utilizing email, MS Teams, telephone, and text
• Learn and master the products we manufacture in our factories to up-sell and cross-sell the customer
Technical skills:
• Computer proficiency including the MS Office Suite specifically Excel, Salesforce, and other tools
• Experience with ERP suites for entering, reviewing, and utilizing data and information
• Product knowledge so that you can describe a product's benefits and assist customers in making decisions about what to buy
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts, apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
• Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
• 5+ years of utility industry products and services including tooling and safety equipment, or related industry rental/sales experience preferred (willing to train the right individual)
